10 Things You Didn't Know About Rogue One (Probably)
By now I'm sure you've heard tons of facts and trivia about the latest Star Wars movie. However, here are ten facts that are probably new to you!
One title considered for the movie was “Dark Times”.
It was inspired by films such as The Dam Busters and The Guns of Navarone. Both of which involve attacks on seemingly impenetrable enemy fortresses.
Rogue One is only the second Star Wars movie to tilt upward after the intro. The other is Attack of the Clones.
It's also the only Star Wars movie where its title is said, courtesy of Bodhi Rook.
Speaking of Rook, his actor, Riz Ahmed, was so excited by the chance to be in a Star Wars movie he auditioned using 500 takes of one small scene.
It was Donnie Yen's idea for his character, Chirrut Îmwe, to be blind.
Saw Gerrera's unused line “what will you become?” was improvised by Forest Whitaker.
Likewise, Alan Tudyk improvised a lot of his lines and actions, including the slap his character, K-2SO, dishes out to Cassian Andor on Jedha.
The interior shots of the Imperial base on Scarif were shot in Canary Wharf tube station.
And, last but not least...
While many of the original stormtrooper outfits used stickers for details, Rogue One utilised three-dimensional vents and so on.
