The Cousin of Bib Fortuna – Star Wars Lore
Born on Ryloth as a member of a powerful family with close connections to the criminal underworld, Beezer Fortuna differed from his fellow Twi'leks both aesthetically and morally. Whether it be his dried-out head tails, relatively small pupils, or completely differing career path from the likes of his infamous cousin, Bib, Beezer was certainly unique in more ways than one. Moreover, as the most politically-minded of his clan, he was inspired by Cham Syndulla's liberation of their homeworld to become a seditionist. And while such work throughout the Clone Wars later saw him imprisoned by the Galactic Empire, a Partisan raid upon Lessu – the capital city of Ryloth – once more guaranteed his freedom. Ever since, Fortuna pledged his loyalty to Saw Gerrera and his militia, becoming the grizzled veteran's chief strategist. This saw him map out Imperial activity both on Jedha and further afield. He also personally recruited the likes of Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus – although their relationship swiftly ended following a disagreement over a kamikaze-like attack upon the Holy City's primary Star Destroyer.
Unlike Bib, who was killed above the Great Pit of Carkoon, the fate of Beezer was never definitively answered. But given the complete destruction of Jedha City, with shockwaves engulfing the Partisan base, it's safe to assume he was indeed killed. But which Fortuna cousin do you prefer?
