Who Succeeded JABBA THE HUTT in Star Wars Canon?

One of the most powerful gangsters of all time, the void left in the wake of Jabba the Hutt's death was – no pun intended – gargantuan. But like any vacant position of power, it didn't stop criminals all across the galaxy from stepping up in an attempt to fill the role. In fact, one individual in particular managed to replace the fallen crime lord outright, and his name was Rinnrivin Di...

Since the death of Jabba the Hutt more or less coincided with the Battle of Endor, crime in the Outer Rim underwent a completely independent transformation to that of the Galactic Empire into the New Republic. Individuals from the many Hutt crime families were naturally poised to take the vacant throne. However, infighting among these various clans left the door wide open for Rinnrivin Di – a Nikto smuggler and cartel operative with uncanny business acumen. By concealing his operations far beyond the New Republic borders, shuffling his ample cash flow through various front companies and organisations, Di managed to evade law enforcement at every turn. Moreover, he used his natural charisma, elegant clothing, and fine tastes in art and cuisine to subvert the unfortunate stereotype of his species. So while Hutts inspired fear and Niktos came across as unsophisticated brutes, this particular gangster forced onlookers to question their natural instincts about him. In other words, he cleverly toyed with the emotions of others to hide his true nature and intentions. If that didn't make him the most worthy successor to Jabba the Hutt, then I don't know what would.

But, what do you think? Which criminal would you have selected for the vacant and powerful position? Let me know in the comments below.
